Welcome to Critical Findings

AnnouncementsIP LawTechnology

Why Critical Findings?

The practice of law and the development of technology are converging faster than ever. As an IP and technology attorney who also builds software, I see both sides of that convergence daily. This blog is where I share what I learn.

Critical Findings covers topics at the intersection of intellectual property, technology, and law, including:

  • Patent litigation strategy and developments in patent law
  • Trademark prosecution and brand protection
  • AI governance, copyright, and ownership questions
  • SaaS agreements and software licensing
  • Open source compliance
  • Legal technology and how software is changing legal practice

Who Is This For?

This blog is written for founders, engineers, in-house counsel, and anyone who works at the intersection of technology and law. I aim to make complex legal topics accessible without oversimplifying.

What to Expect

Posts will range from practical guides (e.g., "What to Do When You Receive a Patent Demand Letter") to analysis of legal developments (e.g., new case law on AI-generated works) to observations from my own experience building legal technology tools.

The best legal advice is the kind that helps you make informed decisions before a problem becomes a dispute.
